The end of summer doesn’t always have to be disappointing. In fact, you can have a blast during fall too. So don’t give up on fun and prepare for a long cold winter, instead explore the unique offerings of this season and try different kinds of fun activities. After all, fall might be your last chance to explore the outdoors before winter comes to Indiana.
We at CERAland have put together a list of things to do this fall that you’ll remember for several years to come.
Gather the Leaves and Jump In
Do you know what the best thing about fall is? Fall foliage, of course. You can gather all those dry, crunchy leaves, gather them in a pile and ruin all that effort by jumping in. That is one of those quintessential things to do in fall. Almost everyone has done it and if you haven’t, you have to try it at least once.
Take a Long, Scenic Drive
Fall foliage can be colorful and beautiful. The variety of yellows, reds, oranges, and greens can be a stunning sight to see. Taking a long, scenic drive through a road full flanked by greenery can be a memory that you’ll remember for a lifetime. If you can manage, you can also take a biking trip, instead of driving through. This will help you soak in the vivid colors at your own pace. You can head to your nearest park with good foliage and enjoy the ride there.
Go Camping and Have a Bonfire
The chilly fall evenings can be excellent for a toasty bonfire. Grab your best buddies or your family, and head for the nearest campground. Be sure to pack the right camping equipment for the cold weather and have fun. You can spend your evenings warming yourself by the fire, roasting marshmallows, and simply hanging out with loved ones.
Hunt for Pumpkins
You can’t miss picking pumpkins and carving them for Halloween. It can be great recreation for you and your family. Kids love carving pumpkins and getting them directly from the pumpkin patch can be a great experience for them. See if you can find a big one to make an excellent jack-o-lantern.
