Martial Arts Program
I.M.A. (Indonesian Martial Arts)
Indonesian Martial Arts comprise the traditional combat systems of Southeast Asia. While these arts, known as Pencak Silat, offer highly sophisticated and extremely effective self-defense application, training offers benefits beyond combat. The body conditioning and the overall mind-body development provide a unique opportunity for self-development.
Kali (Filipino Martial Arts)
Kali is the most complete, advanced, and effective form of Filipino Martial Arts in existence today. Based on tactics and strategies derived from edged weapons, Kali is a complete system incorporating both weapons and empty hand methods. Kali is a close range combat system which provides protection from attack and domination of any combat or self-defense situation.
The combined principles of Kali-Silat are a comprehensive study of Southeast Asian martial arts. Training in Southeast Asian martial arts includes: Forms training, Foot work training, sensitivity conditioning, combative application of technique, and most of all, FUN.
Benefits of training:
- Stress Management
- Improved Overall Health and Vitality
- Improved Balance and Musculoskeletal Performance
- Effective Self Defense
- A FUN Opportunity for Self-Development
Instructor Shane Del Bianco has trained directly under the leaders of the Pekiti Tirsia Kali Global Organization. As well, Shane has trained with legend Dan Inosanto and had the privilege of studying directly with Guru Besar Ibu Rita Suwanda in the arts of Pencak Silat.
But it was the countless hours of training under Master Bruce Ogle that gave Shane the desire to share this art in the traditional way. Shane is an Instructor under Master Bruce Ogle of the Indiana Kali-Silat Association International.
Shane’s classes are exciting and you will have a great time discovering a “Light Approach to a Devastating Art”
