Meet the 2013 Kids Camp Counselors                                                                                                           

Cindy Mackey 

Camp Coordinator, 10 years experience 

Cindy has a BA in Biology at Hanover College and Masters of Education at St. Mary of the Woods College. She is a Science Teacher at Jennings County High School and is the Cross Country and Track coach. Her hobbies include; running, baking, gardening, reading and playing with her puppy. When asked what her favorite thing about camp is she said “I enjoy seeing the kids excited when we have special activities planned.” 

Justin Smith

Head Counselor, 3 years experience 

Justin has a Bachelors in Exercise Science from Hanover College. He also has a certification from Hanover College in K-12 Health and PE. Justin is a Teacher and a Coach at Jennings County Schools. His hobbies include coaching, anything outdoors, technology, sports and church. When asked what his favorite thing about camp is he said, “Seeing the kids enjoying the outdoors and being active.”

Betsy Thompson

Camp Counselor, 3 years experience 

Betsy has an Assoites degree in Early Childhood Education. Her hobbies include reading being out side and camping. When asked what her favorite thing about camp is she said, “Seeing the kids enjoying the outdoors.

Kyle Stark

Camp Counselor, 2 year experience 

Kyle is a Senior at Indiana Wesleyan University. He is attending Indiana Wesleylan University to persue a degree in Social Scieneces Secondary Education. His hobbies include; racket sports, disc golf, computers and console gaming. When asked what his favorite thing about camp is he said, “Seeing the kids enjoy the theme weeks and kickball.” 

 

Kyle Roth

Camp Counselor, 1 year experience 

Kyle is currently a student at Bethel College. He is attending Bethel College to persue a degree in Physical Therapy. His hobbies include; playing basketball at Bethel College, golfing and any outdoor activities. When asked what his favorite thing about camp is he said, “I like being active and enjoy working with kids.” 

 

 

Austin Kreutzjans

Camp Counselor, 1st year 

Austin will be attending IUPUI this fall to further pursue his education. His hobbies include; sports, fishing, spending time with family and friends.

Fees

$105 per Camper per week (Camper must be a CERA member)
10% off for each additional sibling (all Campers must be CERA members) 

Would your youth like to attend all of the NINE summer camp sessions? If so, with your pre-registration for the entire season, you save $164 ($740 payment in full at time of registration). (For members only). 

CERA members are welcome to bring neighbors, friends, grandchildren or nieces & nephews!! $135 per youth per week (Guests) or $950 for the entire 9 WEEK season.

PLEASE NOTE: Week 5 will only be a 4 day camp because of Independence Day.  This weekly rate is $84 for members and $108 for guests.

NEW!!!  All fees must be paid in full one week (7-days) prior to the start of camp in order to receive the above rates.  A $25 LATE REGISTRATION fee will be assessed each week if fees are not received within the 7-day start to camp.

Give your kids a summer they won’t forget...send them to the Ceraland Kids Camp. CERA Kids Camp will be divided into two groups. The first group will have youth ages 5 - 8 and the second group will have youth ages 9 - 15. They will enjoy a variety of activities including, but not limited to: swimming, miniature golf, basketball, arts & crafts, games, reading, special guest speakers, movies and more. During each week of this nine-week camp, campers will utilize all of the 345 acres of Ceraland Park.

*Campers must be dropped off at the Ceraland Park Sports & Fitness Center each morning and picked up at the Ceraland Park Sports & Fitness Center each evening. Because of safety concerns, campers may not be dropped off at any other location.

What to bring each day:
Snack for the morning, sack lunch (refrigeration available), water bottle (if desired), swimming suit,  towel, sunscreen, goggles (if desired), snack for afternoon or money to purchase a snack and a lock for locker (if desired).

Two Good Basketball Camp

This day camp is open to boys & girls ages 6 - 17 who want to improve their basketball skills and become the player that they always wanted to be.

Cub Scout Day Camp

This day camp is designed to teach skills & develop attitudes that make a boy more self-reliant and more at home in the outdoors.  He will have FUN with a purpose.  The purpose is to build character while providing a memorable experience in the life of a boy.  

All Cub Scouts....particularly this year's Tiger Cubs & Wolf Cubs....are encouraged to attend.  Scouts attending camp return home each day.  There is no overnight camping.  They participate in outdoor activities centered around a camping theme.
